One of a series of air plant items based on the "Binary Roots"  container design by Vitrox. (Described here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:26227 )

The air plant is not mounted using glue or any other fixative so that it can be watered easily -remove it from the container, dunk it in water and replace. The container is approximately 120mm wide and 45mm tall. Once printed, the container was treated to provide a shiny surface texture on the ABS plastic from which it was made.

Same design file - different colours

The bubbly surface on the above container was achieved by applying heat from an air blower to the plastic once it had been treated in an acetone vapour bath. A closer view can be seen below.
